Champion rose-gray Avatar
SIRE TO SHAH JAHAN
Avatar has wonderful crimpy, dense, and fine fleece, but
what truly separates him from the other outstanding herd
sires is his phenomenal handle - due only in part to the
exceptional uniformity of his fleece. Cameron Holt, AOBA
Senior Judge Trainer and world wide fiber expert, (http://www.cameronholt.com)
gave the following scores to Avatar's fleece:
Fineness: 15 out of 15 ; Handle: 5 out of 5 ; Uniformity
of micron: 7 out of 8 ; Crimp: 8.5 out of 10 ; Density:
3 out of 5 ; Brightness: 8 out of 10 ; Lack of medullation:
8 out of 10. (Scores are given without regard to color).
Avatar's crias include Futurity and AOBA National Show
Champions, several National Fleece Champions, and numerous
Multi-Champion and Blue Ribbon show winners. More Champions
continue to arrive; West Texas Gold's "How Sweet He
Is" won Color Champion at his very first show, Txolan
2008, beating the 52 other brown males shown. Delphi's Ava
and Appeline also both brought home Championships from the
2008 SWRAS. Delphi's Devamani, and Avatar's Ironman (owned
by Amy Crane) each received Reserve Championships at the
2005 Alpaca Futurity in Indianapolis as rose gray juveniles.
Devamani then won the Color Championship from the level
5 Great Western Alpaca Show and The 2005 AOBA Nationals
in Utah. She also won Color Champion at the 2006 Nationals
fleece show. Avatar's gray son Avalance (owned by Amanda
Villareal) was awarded a First at the Monterey Pronk. Avatar's
Fawn son Kanaka, owned by Fossil Ridge Alpacas, has won
many Championships. Kokopelli's Song Alpacas' Topeka, a
medium brown, is a champion as well.
Avatar is not available for outside breedings, his breedings
are restricted to customers only.

Poco
Diablo
- Male
- Full Peruvian
- Sired by El Moustachio
- Pperuvian Leon as a grandsire
- Poco Diablo is putting some really excellent crias on the
ground. His cria, Rikki, was the talk of the show and held up
to all the farms as an example of excellence by the show judge
at a recent gathering of Northern Colorado alpaca breeders.
We believe Rikki is what some breeders call a "silky"
huacaya; these are huacayas with extraordinary luster, fineness,
and staple length.
- With his dark fawn dam and medium fawn grandsire, Poco Diablo
has the background to pass on color. There's a brown spot on
his shoulder the size of a quarter.
- Terrific density all over, great curl in his legs and topknot,
great coverage.
Medicine Wheel Alpacas in Florence, Colorado, is looking for
a farm to purchase half interest.

His ancestors have been rigorously selected since 1946. Peruvian
Leon is a striking dark fawn color of perfect uniformity. His
fleece measured 19.9 micron at three years of age. His head is
perfectly balanced and his proud presence is breathtaking.

still reside at Accoyo. He held his fine microns for years; he
